St Peter and
St Paul Church

St Peter and St Paul Church can be found in Great Bowden.

Welcome!

At Saint Peter and Saint Paul, Great Bowden, we strive to be welcomng, accessible and inclusive, enabling everyone, whatever their background, to experience the love of God.

We believe God made and loves us just as we are. We want to be an inclusive church, which welcomes and celebrates everyone in all our diversity. A church where everyone feels safe to be themselves, and where we actively stand up against discrimination on the grounds of disability, race and ethnicity, gender and sexuality, neurodiversity, age, faith, or financial means. We’re not there yet, but we’re trying actively to make St Peter and St Paul’s a community that everyone can access and where everyone belongs.

Whilst we are not permitted to marry same sex couples in church, the PCC has agreed the use of prayers of love and faith to celebrate and bless couples in faithful same-sex relationships. Please speak to the vicar if you would like to know more. We affirm the ministry of women, including ordained ministry, and encourage everyone in our community to get involved in the life of our church. We still have a lot to learn, but we hope that together we can grow into the likeness of Christ.

Revd HILS CORCORAN

Our Worship

At St Peter and St Paul there are services every Sunday, meeting the needs of all ages. They include:

Café Church
Held every first Sunday of the month, this is an informal service with bacon rolls, croissants and drinks served from 10.00am followed by a short interactive worship at 10.30am.

Soul Space
A quieter more contemplative service held at 6pm on the first Sunday of the month.

Holy Communion
Our services of Communion are held on the second and fourth Sunday of the month. They are accessible for all ages and feature a variety of music both traditional and modern.

All-Age Worship with baptism
Our all-age worship on the third Sunday often includes a baptism.

Faith Explorers
A short service for all ages including families and children. It is a chance to enjoy story-telling, play, music and craft as well as food and drink, and is held on the fourth Sunday of every month at 9.00am.

Messy Church
Messy Church is a shared ministry across the Harborough Anglican Team and is held once a month on Saturday afternoon at Great Bowden or Little Bowden. Families come together to learn about the bible, take part in craft and share a meal.
