Who
can be married here?
|
To
be married in any of the churches one or both of you must live within the
team parishes. You can also be married if you are a regular worshiper at
and on the electoral roll of one of the churches. If either or both of you have been married before and your previous spouse is still alive you will need to make an appointment with one of the clergy who will be able to discuss the possibility of remarriage in church. Any final decision is with the agreement of the Team Rector, Revd Richard Brand. |

Reading
of Banns
|
This is an important legal preliminary to your wedding. Banns are read at the main service in the church where you will be married. They are read three times, on three consecutive Sundays in the couple of months before your wedding. We will advise you of the exact dates and time. If either of you lives in a different parish you will need to arrange for your Banns to be read there also. If you are getting married elsewhere and need your Banns read here please contact the Team Office on any Saturday between 10.00 am and 12 noon and we will make the necessary arrangements. After completion of the Reading you will need to collect your Banns certificate from the Team Office. The fee for Reading of Banns and issuing a certificate is £31 which will be payable when you collect the certificate. | |||||||
